COMMUNITY

We share a deep
connection to the people, neighborhoods, and lifestyle that make this place home.

The two women with blonde hair dressed in white are Sherry and Chelsea Ortega, a real estate collective in Bend.

A MOTHER-DAUGHTER COLLECTIVE

The Ortega Collective began the way the best things do — gradually, then all at once. Sherry Ortega has been guiding Bend buyers and sellers through three decades of this town's evolution, raising her daughter Chelsea alongside the work, watching her absorb the rhythms of real estate from the ground up.

THE ORTEGA LEGACY

For years, Chelsea built her own path — teaching yoga and meditation for over a decade, working in the wellness and yoga retail world, knowing on some level that real estate would eventually be part of her story but trusting she'd arrive there in her own time.

That time arrived in 2020. When her yoga studio closed and the yoga retail store she worked at shuttered during COVID, Chelsea started studying for her real estate license. As soon as she passed the test, she went all in — and hasn't looked back since.

What we built together is a mother-daughter collective rooted in the things that have always mattered to our family: presence, community, intentionality, authenticity, and an unflinching belief that a home isn't a transaction — it's the place where a life happens, and your story unfolds.

MEET THE LEAD BROKER:
CHELSEA MALIAKAI ORTEGA

Chelsea Ortega is a Bend native, lifestyle-led broker, and longtime yoga teacher who grew up on the westside. She used to train and run hill sprints with her cross-country team on the dirt mounds that became Discovery West, graduated from Summit High School, and has watched Bend grow from a 40,000-person mountain town into the place it is today.

Her background in mindfulness and wellness shapes how she shows up for every client — calm, attentive, and deeply present — and her design-forward eye shapes the way she reads and markets a home. She lives close to the river with her golden retriever, surfs and travels when she can, and considers the relationships that come out of this work some of the most meaningful in her life.

MY PHILOSOPHY

MEET THE PRINCIPAL BROKER:
SHERRY ORTEGA

Sherry Ortega moved to Bend in 2001 and has watched the town reshape itself ever since, building a twenty-plus-year career alongside it. Real estate runs deep in the Ortega family — licensees throughout, with a network spanning Hawaii, California, and Oregon. It was a stretch of years on Kauai, surrounded by landscapes that demanded attention, that pulled her toward real estate in earnest.

She knows Central Oregon's neighborhoods, seasons, and rhythms the way only a longtime local can, and she's spent two decades building the kind of industry relationships that come from showing up consistently. These days she works alongside her daughter, Chelsea, blending her seasoned market instincts with Chelsea's fresh eye. Family is the foundation of their work, and lifestyle is what drives it forward — meeting each client exactly where they're at. Sherry measures the work less by transactions than by the trust built along the way.

What’s it like working with us?

LET’S MEET

Number one on a white circular background

The first step is always sitting down together — at a coffee shop, in your home, somewhere quiet — to hear your story, your timeline, and any concerns that need to be on the table.

DEFINING GOALS

Number 2 inside a circle.

We listen, then we plan. From your priorities — non-negotiables, nice-to-haves, neighborhoods, timing — we build an approach that fits your actual life, not a template.

THE JOURNEY

Number three in large font inside a white circle with a black background.

We walk alongside you. Whether you're touring homes, prepping a listing, or navigating an inspection, you have us in your corner the whole way — answering questions, offering honest feedback, translating real estate into language that actually makes sense.

We’LL BE HERE

Number four displayed on a white circular background with a black border.

We close, and then we stay. The relationship doesn't end at closing. Our clients become an extension of our family — and we're here for the second home, the question about a contractor, the friend who's relocating, for as long as you need us.

Sound like an alignment?
